Introducing a New Discussion Forum

The Coaching 4 Growth ministry is growing in interest and influence. As a support to that ministry, a new discussion forum has been started which will allow people to dialog about various issues they are experiencing, and provide information about great places to get resources. You must register to participate, but you are not required to register just to read the posts.

One of the features of a forum, is that it can be a great place to get information on topics that you need in your ministry. Who better knows where to get resources than others practicing ministry. See and hear from them what is working and what is not. Watch for future downloads and other links for ministry support here.

Another great benefit, is that the forum is a safe place to ask questions about something you are facing in ministry and get feedback from others about how they would address the situation or even where to go for information. In these days, everyone in ministry needs safe and reliable places to go for help.

In the not to distant future, we will begin to offer Leadership Training and Bible Classes online! Watch our website and posts for information and start up dates. The forum will be a key part for communication and classwork.

Take a quick look here, or follow the link under the Places of Interest section on this page.

Pastor Funk,

I completed your gifts profile. Then I directed the entire congregation to do it as well. We enjoyed discussing the results. I decided to go through this process for the sake of helping the congregation get the same vision that God has for us as a body. In other words, we plan to use this information to guild us in developing a vision for the next three years of the church. I anticipated that it would be useful. I however, was amazed at how clear a picture we got from this cooperate gifts evaluation.

When most of the church had completed the process I asked them to give me their list of top 5 (6 for some people) gifts. I gave the topmost from each person’s list a score of 5 points. The second gift was worth 4 points and three for the third and 2 for the forth and one for gifts that rated in 5th or 6th place on the top 5 list. Then I added up the totals to determine what the church’s gift profile was (as a body).

There were certain gifts that were clearly in the lead. For example the gift of mercy was first on several of the participant’s lists. We had an overwhelming indication that we are a church who is gifted in showing mercy.

What that means is we have been given very clear insight into God’s design of our church body and the kinds of ministries that we are likely to excel at.

Not only do I know this as the vision caster for the church. I can also show these findings to the congregation as inspiration to the fulfilling of the church’s vision. I also know from the individual’s lists what their fit is, as I encourage them to get involved in the ministries and in the fulfilling of that vision.

Thanks for this tool. It has been an incredible help in our vision casting process.
